Soap Bubbles is aware that the advice surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is forever evolving. Due to this we are constantly making changes to the way we work to ensure we are doing all we can to keep our cleaning teams and customers safe. Soap Bubbles has, and is continuing to take precautions to ensure that none of our workers come in to contact with COVID-19.

Lockdown Ending Early  

We are OPEN from Friday 22nd October

 

Fantastic news everybody! The government announced yesterday that Melbourne is on track to hit the 70% double dose slightly earlier than expected and we are therefore being unlocked this Thursday 21st October at 11:59pm. 

 

This means we are fully OPEN from Friday 23rd October.

 

Some important notes to our customers:

 

If you have a regular service and would like your clean done earlier than when your service is scheduled, please feel free to book a one off clean. We are doing this to avoid a huge shuffle of our regular schedules with regular cleaning teams as this takes a lot of time to organize and optimise.

 

All our cleaners are vaccinated! From Friday October 15th, all our cleaners will have had at least their first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine and either have had their second dose already, or due to have it within the next few weeks. We have had a mixed reception about this, but we would like to remind those who are less enthusiastic about the vaccine that this was mandated by the government for industries like ours, so we are doing out best to stay legal and compliant.

Roadmap Released
Expected Opening Tuesday 26th October
Over the weekend, Daniel Andrews has announced that Melbourne should be able to start opening up again as vaccine levels hit 70-80% double dose. Based on his announcement, hospitality will start being allowed to open at the 70% double dose level which is currently estimated to be on October 26th. 
Historically, we have always been allowed to re-open at the same time that hospitality has so we are fairly confident that we will be able to open on Tuesday 26th October.
We will unfortunately need to cancel all non-essential services until this date.
However, we would like to remind everyone that we are accepting essential cleans (for NDIS/TAC customers), commercial cleans and move out cleans.

Lockdown Extended Again
Bad news today as the Melbourne lockdown has been extended again.
No dates have been provided yet, other than the fact that we will not be opening
on Friday 3rd September as planned. We will wait to hear more later this week and ensure to post updates and send emails to all our customers as soon as we know what is happening.
Until then we wish you all well and hope you are finding some ways to keep busy and positive during this very difficult time!

Lockdown Extended another 14 days
Unfortunatley Daniel Andrews announced today that the Melbourne Lockdown will be extended by 14 days from 11:59pm Thursday 19th August until Thursday September 2nd 11:59pm. We will be forced to cancel all non-essential cleans between now and Thursday 19th August. We are hoping to be back open as usual on Friday 3rd September.
Please note we are able to accept move out cleans during this time.
Please note that all customers with an affected booking will have received an email.
Please check your inbox for specific information about your service.
If you would like to book an essential service such as a move out clean or a commercial clean, please feel free to contact our office on 0413 51 71 05 to book in. For essential services, customers can fill in our exemption form to apply for an exemption. We will review all requests and get back to you ASAP.

Lockdown Extended another 7 days
Unfortunatley Daniel Andrews announced today that the Melbourne Lockdown will be extended by 7 days from 11:59pm Thursday. We will be forced to cancel all non-essential cleans between now and Thursday 19th August. We are hoping to be back open as usual on Friday 20th. Please note we are able to accept move out cleans during this time.

 7 day Snap Lockdown Confirmed
Melbourne has been placed under a sixth lockdown, starting from Thursday 5th August 8pm and hoping to end on Friday 13th August. Please note that all non-essential services will need to be cancelled. If you have a regular service, your clean will be skipped until the next scheduled date. If you have a one off service, your clean will be cancelled.
Please note that all customers with an affected booking will have received an email.
Please check your inbox for specific information about your service.
If you would like to book an essential service such as a move out clean or a commercial clean, please feel free to contact our office on 0413517105 to book in.
For essential services, customers can fill in our exemption form to apply for an exemption.
We will review all requests and get back to you ASAP.

Lockdown Has Ended
Government Site Updated
We're super excited to get back in to the thick of things today! The government website has also now been updated confirming that cleaning services are allowed to resume from today.

Lockdown Ending 11:59 Tonight 
We are open from tomorrow!
Daniel Andrews has just announced that the Melbourne lockdown will be ending this evening. This will mean Soap Bubbles will resume operating all services from tomorrow.
PLEASE NOTE: Like at the end of the last lockdown in May, Daniel Andrews cited that no visitors would be allowed in the home. Last lockdown there was some confusion over if this applied to family/friends only, or if trades/services also counted as visitors.
It was confirmed last lockdown that this applied to friends/family only, and that trades/services were allowed to commence work. It normally takes the government approximately 24 hours to update the coronavirus website, however we are confident that we are permitted to be open as of tomorrow in the same way we were last lockdown.
The Premier's Statement has a "Table of Restrictions" at the bottom of the page.
Domestic cleaning is not on this list, confirming our assumption that cleaning will be allowed tomorrow. In the same way as last lockdown, restrictions on visitors in the home apply to social visitors, not to trades/services. 
As usual, all our cleaning teams will be following our strict COVID-Safe plan which includes social distancing and wearing full PPE for each service.

Lockdown Extended
We have heard news today that the Melbourne Lockdown will be extended. We will hear news tomorrow of approximately how long it will go for, however we have made the call to cancel all non-essential services on Wednesdsay 21st July and Thursday 22nd July.
